Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. What we collect

When you run a scan, we receive the URL you submit. We do not require an account, and we do not store personally identifiable information unless you choose to sign up for monitoring. Scan results are processed in memory and are not persisted to a database on the free tier.

2. How we use your data

The URL you submit is used solely to perform the security checks described on our homepage. We may aggregate anonymised scan statistics (e.g. “X% of scanned apps are missing HSTS”) to improve the product and publish research. No individual URL or result is shared with third parties.

3. Cookies and analytics

VibeScan may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible or Vercel Analytics) that do not use cookies and do not track you across sites. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising trackers.

4. Third-party services

VibeScan is hosted on Vercel. AI-powered explanations use the Anthropic API. Neither service receives your URL — only VibeScan's server processes it. Please review Vercel's and Anthropic's own privacy policies for their data handling practices.

5. Data retention

Free scan results are not stored. If you create a paid monitoring account, your scan history is retained for as long as your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account cancellation upon request.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at founder@vibescan.space.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of VibeScan after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
